Senior/Lead Service Technician

 

Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer and installation expert of HVAC systems is looking for a Senior service Technician to join their team. The ideal individual will have a strong demonstrated history and understanding of HVAC systems and experience of installing such systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility to incorporate all aspects of the clients values and standards in fulfilment of the role
  • Carry out assignments in line with: regulatory requirements, health and safety requirements appliance standards and codes of practice
  • ResponsibilityResponsibility for maintenance repair and commissioning of full range of HVAC equipment
  • Deliver great service to customers was working on equipment eg. air handling units; chillers; kitchen extractor canopies; fire dampers and controls
  • Ensure all customer equipment is in perfect working order, efficient and effective
  • Travel within Leinster region to collect parts etc
  • Responsibility for Leinster and international (one week in 4) Installation and servicing of hvac equipment
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management team as necessary
  • Manage callouts to Leinster region customer facilities and plan European callout efficiently as required
  • Liaise with specialists and suppliers in relation to industry and manufacturing requirements
  • Escalate to Direct reports of risk items
  • Ensure that all customer facilities and services are made available within the requirements of the contract specification and ensure assets are operating effectively
 

Essential Skills

 

  • 5 years+ experience in senior service HVAC technician roles
  • Degree educated -Building services, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working on large commercial projects
  • Proven experience in servicing HVAC equipment
  • Strong analytical skills problem-solving diagnostic and the ability to think on feet and a meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-contained inability to work alone on some assignments
  • Good documentation practice
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written including influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership people management skills and the ability to communicate at all levels including the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of vsd and conventional motor starter controls
  • Understanding of BMS systems and other systems of control
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings
  • Electrical and mechanical Building Services experience required
  • Professional certificates are desirable
  • Familiarity with pc-based tools (word, excel etc.)
  • Full clean driver's licence
  • EU citizenship / Stamp 4 Visa required
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written
  • Availability to work on project in Europe when Required
