At GemPool we are looking for Inventory and Asset Coordinators for one if the biggest tech clients who delivers world-class technology infrastructure solutions spanning public/hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
Our Team is currently seeking an Inventory and Asset Coordinator who will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventorying of hardware and components. Daily tasks may include: tracking inventory and availability of products; ensuring order fulfillment and recording and providing documentation for each shipment; ensuring required tools, consumables and clients assets are available for the team to complete their services tasks.
Responsibilities
Maintains and stewards up-to-date and accurate logical information within various inventory management systems (e.g., configuration management databases, asset management repositories).
Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity.
Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process.
Ensures tasks are completed accurately as requested, as well as meet company and industry standards and policies.
Builds strong working relationships with customers.
Work closely with field technicians and central hubs to communicate shipping activities.
Arrange for freight carrier pickups and delivery schedules.
Notifies management about ordering stock shortages. Escalates any issues to management.
Learn and follow all safety requirements.
Make recommendations for better, safer, faster processes to improve productivity and inventory accuracy.
Participate in other project duties assigned as necessary.
Requirements
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Inventory and Logistics Experience
Familiarity with the documentation requirements for inbound/outbound shipments
Ability to use a pallet jack
Familiarity with ERP systems
Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
Ability to work autonomously and within a local or geographically dispersed team environment.
The ability to travel locally between Data Centers as needed
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23kg) when necessary.
The ability to safely climb ladders when necessary.
The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when necessary.
The ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods without loss or reduction of productivity.
The ability to
use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls, bend or twist their body
repeat movements for extended periods without loss or reduction of productivity.
