Key Responsibilities:
Building and motivating high-performing development teams in a globally and culturally diverse environment
Maintaining high standards of integrity and expectations for yourself and others
Constantly seeking to improve knowledge and experience continually and staying up-to-date with new methods or best practices
Mentoring and collaborating with new and emerging talented software engineers and being comfortable delegating to other team members
Directing teams on the end-to-end project lifecycle, covering the initial conception, business requirements, software architecture, technical lead, coaching, and flawless delivery
Delivering high quality maintainable and scalable SaaS solutions on the .NET and Azure technology stack
Delivering an exceptional user experience to our customers, through the delivery of products and services with strong and extendable design patterns and coding best practices
Guiding engineering teams in the implementation of coding best practices, designs and patterns
Ensuring the efficient delivery of multiple, parallel client implementation projects while also enabling the refactoring of core components to a more modern design pattern
Qualifications:
Senior Leadership proven capability capable of working across technical and business disciplines and quickly building credibility
Postgraduate qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of best practices and tooling for CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, agile methods (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban), automated testing, code quality
Background in high-growth Agile SaaS- -based engineering organizations
Deep understanding of multi-tier architectures and microservices (load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, networking, databases)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
10+ years of experience in leading large globally dispersed development teams, preferably .Net
12+ years of experience with object-oriented programming principles and patterns
10+ years of experience developing and delivering large-scale distributed systems
2+ years of experience with Azure and Amazon Web Services using microservices architecture
Desirable:
Pension and Insurance industry related experience
Experience refactoring large and complex legacy systems
