Salary: €85000 to €90000 per annum (DOE)

Are you an accomplished Network Engineer ready to take on a high-impact role in a world-renowned tech organisation? Our client is seeking a seasoned professional to join their elite networking team for a 12-month onsite contract in the heart of Dublin.

You’ll play a pivotal role maintaining and evolving mission-critical IP infrastructure that supports operations on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver hands-on troubleshooting and support for a large-scale, complex IP network
  • Drive implementation and optimisation of dynamic routing protocols in highly available environments
  • Partner with global teams to roll out critical network initiatives and upgrades
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues quickly and effectively

Required Qualifications:
  • Solid foundations and applied expertise in IP networking and protocols
  • Expert knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols with practical implementation experience
  • Extensive hands-on work with Cisco router platforms — specifically the 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, and 76xx series, including supervisory and line cards
  • Strong skills in network analysis, fault isolation, and complex troubleshooting
  • Experience across a wide range of network technologies and protocols, including:
  • DWDM, SONET (OC3, OC48), T1/DS1, DS3
  • IEEE 802.1d/STP, VLANs, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP internals
  • HSRP, GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS
  • NetFlow, IPSEC, VPNs, DNS, HTTP

Desirable Skills:
  • Demonstrated success supporting and scaling large, enterprise-grade networks
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working onsite full-time at our client’s Dublin City Centre location
  • Thrives in high-uptime, fast-paced network environments
