Job Title: Supervision Engineer – Transformer & Load Bank Installation (Contract)
Location: Dublin
Contract Type: 3-Month Contract
Start Date: June 2025
Reporting To: Project Director

Gempool is currently seeking a skilled Supervision Engineer for a 3-month contract role on a live data centre construction site in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of transformers and load banks. This is a high-responsibility role requiring experience in live environments and critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily site activities for transformer and load bank installation
  
  
• Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  
  
• Liaise with commissioning teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders
  
  
• Coordinate electrical isolations and energization plans
  
  
• Review risk assessments, method statements, and test documentation
  
  
• Lead site inspections, FATs/SATs, and commissioning efforts
  
  
• Report on progress and enforce live-site safety protocols
  
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  
  
• 5–8 years’ experience in engineering supervision within industrial or infrastructure projects
  
  
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems and electrical distribution
  
  
• Proven experience in transformer installation and load bank testing
  
  
• Experience on live data centre or mission-critical sites is essential
  
  
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage site logistics
  
  
• Safe Pass, Manual Handling & Working at Height (mandatory)
  
  
• CompEx, AP15, or HV/LV Authorised Person (desirable)
