Site Engineer (Qualified Electrician – Data Center Operations
Dublin West | Full-time | €66,000 (DOE) + shift allowance

As a Site Engineer focusing on electrical projects, you will play a key role in the operation, maintenance, and performance of electrical systems within a high-availability data centre environment. This includes overseeing maintenance routines, responding to faults, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and contributing to 24/7 site reliability. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute switching and operational procedures for electrical systems to ensure uptime.
- Maintain high site standards in appearance, safety, and cleanliness, escalating issues when necessary.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures, regulations, and internal protocols.
- Conduct scheduled and reactive maintenance of electrotechnical infrastructure.
- Perform root-cause analysis and corrective action on electrical faults and system failures.
- Manage maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of all engineering tasks.
- Participate in shift rotations and on-call duties for ongoing infrastructure surveillance.
- Carry out site walks, monitor the Building Management System (BMS), and respond to alarms or alerts.
- Initiate Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) when required to protect infrastructure and service continuity.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in mission-critical environments (e.g., data centres, hospitals, industrial facilities).
- QQI level 6 Advanced Craft Certificate – Electrical (Must)
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and power distribution.
- Comfortable working in compliance-heavy environments and following strict safety protocols.
- Experience with HVAC, fire detection/suppression, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and working under SLA-driven contracts.
- Previous work in facilities with high uptime requirements (Tier III or IV standards beneficial).
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland (Irish citizen, EU citizen, Stamp 4 or Stamp 1g dependent visa holder)
Shift Pattern:
- 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am) on a 24/7 rotation, includes nights, weekends, and generous rest days
