Principal / Senior Project Manager
Salary: Up to €90,000 + benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Dublin
Onsite: Hybrid, with one day onsite including client visits

Role Overview:
GemPool is hiring on behalf of a client within the creative agency space for a Principal / Senior Project Manager who is passionate about delivering engaging digital experiences. You’ll work closely with client stakeholders to define business requirements, support project and product goals, and deliver successful outcomes using Agile methodologies. Working alongside designers, developers and wider cross-functional teams, you’ll help deliver digital experiences that are effective, engaging and built around the needs of the user.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with client stakeholders to understand and define business requirements and objectives
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of digital projects and innovative virtual experiences in line with the client’s vision
  • Support target setting and OKRs with the client
  • Manage a dedicated team of designers and developers alongside non-dedicated resources
  • Plan and manage projects using Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Scrum-ban and Kanban
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and project activities, including daily meetings, demos, feature release planning and story mapping
  • Lead design-led Discovery phases to help define project scope
  • Coordinate between client business and technical stakeholders to ensure clear and effective project delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Design, Business Analysis, Development, QA and Content to deliver the best outcomes and user experiences
  • Manage project planning, estimation, task management and resource mapping
  • Support capacity planning and utilisation across multiple projects and products
  • Manage monthly billing and contribute to studio planning
  • Identify project risks and plan solutions to address future obstacles in a timely manner
  • Bring team ideas and opportunities to the client and present recommendations
  • Work within a multi-vendor environment involving clients and third-party agencies
  • Promote effective project processes and core design and technical governance strategies

Required Skills:

  • 5 years’ experience with a relevant project or product qualification/certification
  • 3rd level Product Owner or Scrum qualification with 3 years’ experience
  • Experience taking part in or leading digital project delivery from end to end
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum
  • Experience working with a hybrid Waterfall/Agile approach where required
  • Experience using Jira for team scheduling and task management
  • Experience working with digital platform processes from end to end
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-management skills, ideally within a client services environment
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, judgement and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and technical awareness
  • Good understanding of the web and digital industry, processes and techniques
  • Experience collaborating with and managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong project planning, estimation, task management, resource mapping, capacity planning and utilisation skills
  • Experience leading collaborative workshops from a design or technical perspective
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects, products and client communications simultaneously
  • Comfortable taking a hands-on and collaborative approach

Nice to Have:

  • Experience or familiarity with UX and design systems
  • Experience with Figma
  • Experience or familiarity with Kentico CMS or another CMS platform
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Miro and Slack
