Job Description

GemPool is partnering with an ambitious and rapidly scaling SaaS company that’s building user-focused software used by customers worldwide. We’re looking for an Engineering Lead who can combine strong technical expertise with genuine leadership ability to help drive product development and team growth.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a significant impact within a scaling technology company — shaping both the engineering culture and the product roadmap.

What You’ll Do

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Be hands-on with coding and development (approximately 70% coding / 30% management in the first year).
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and implement best practices across the team.
• Collaborate closely with product leadership to plan development cycles, prioritise features, and align technical delivery with business goals.
• Contribute to long-term strategy and roadmap planning as part of the leadership team.
