Job Description

We’re Hiring – Data Center Technical Operations Engineer
Location: Dublin West
Contract: 6 Months

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Hardware Support professional to join our data centre operations team. This is a hands-on, non-technical role focused on hardware handling, rack decommissioning, inventory management, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out rack decommissioning and hardware/component removal in accordance with established procedures.
• Receive, process, track, decommission and prepare hardware for liquidation or disposal.
• Accurately document all completed work, ensuring issues are recorded and escalated appropriately.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Work under the guidance of managers and experienced team members, ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Identify and escalate any work that deviates from established processes.
• Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on procedures and operational processes.
• Work effectively as part of a team and complete clear and accurate shift handovers.
• Maintain a professional approach when working with customers, vendors, contractors and other stakeholders.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious.
• Comfortable working independently when required and as part of a team.
• Good communication and handover skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• Previous warehouse, logistics, hardware handling or data centre experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Comfortable with physically demanding, hands-on work, including lifting and moving equipment.

This is a non-technical, operational position. Full guidance and support will be provided, with work completed according to established procedures and quality standards.
