GemPool is an IT specialist recruitment agency. Our client is a European management and technology consultancy that partners with organisations on large-scale digital transformation, software delivery and quality-focused technology programmes. They offer the chance to work close to complex client problems, lead experienced teams, shape delivery standards, and influence how major programmes are planned, governed and delivered.
This is a really interesting opportunity for an experienced Senior Test Manager with a track record of defining programme test strategy. We are looking for someone who can operate at a senior level across three key areas:
- Leading QA/Test delivery on large-scale consulting programmes. Defining test strategies, quality gates, reporting structures and standards across complex projects
- Being a career development manager of four to five QA’s, supporting their career ambitions, providing advice, mentoring, and reviewing them based on performance metrics
- Conducting ad hoc reviews of different projects, identifying opportunities and working with other test managers on improvements
This role would suit someone who has spent several years as a Senior QA/Test Manager and is now ready to step into a broader leadership role. You will be the person people turn to when a project is complex, when quality needs to be reviewed, or when teams need direction on what “good” looks like.
The ideal person will bring:
- 15+ years’ experience in software testing/quality assurance
- Strong QA leadership experience, ideally 8–10 years in test management or similar
- Strong experience in defining test strategy across large projects or programmes
- A strong understanding of quality metrics, governance, reporting and test process improvement
- The ability to mentor, coach and support QA professionals in their career development
- Consulting experience would be a strong advantage
We are looking for someone who has been through challenging projects, knows how to assess quality quickly, can spot gaps in delivery, and can bring structure, standards and calm leadership to complex environments.
The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week in the Dublin office. Some flexibility will be needed around client or project needs when required.
