Job Description

GemPool Recruitment is partnering with a product-led healthcare technology company to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join a highly collaborative and forward-thinking engineering team.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll help lead the development of core platform capabilities, work on large-scale APIs, and contribute to the evolution of AI-powered services used by healthcare professionals in real-world clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Lead and contribute to backend development using Node.js / TypeScript (NestJS, Fastify)
• Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and core platform services
• Work closely with Python-based AI services supporting automation and clinical workflows
• Collaborate on system architecture, technical standards, and best practices
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable, observable, and well-tested
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, and cloud-native infrastructure
• Experience with AWS, containers, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices
• 5+ years’ experience building and operating production web applications
• Interest or experience in AI / LLM-powered systems is a strong plus
• Comfortable working in Agile, collaborative teams
