Job Description

Gempool Recruitment is hiring for an experienced  Database Administrator to join a leading fintech organisation developing cutting-edge, cloud-based financial platforms.
You’ll work within a collaborative engineering environment, ensuring high database performance, security, and reliability across production and non-production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL RDS databases across cloud environments.
• Monitor database performance, security, and availability.
• Provide Level 1 & 2 support, resolving database incidents and queries.
• Optimize SQL queries and database structures for speed and efficiency.
• Automate DBA tasks using Bash or Python scripts.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps to ensure smooth integrations.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in PostgreSQL database administration or similar role.
• Strong understanding of SQL tuning, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Linux command-line and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience in financial or high-transaction environments is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
