GemPool is hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading international construction
consultancy that is leading multiple data centre projects across Europe. This role will be embedded
with one of Europe’s largest data centre providers, based full-time on a high-value project in
Amsterdam. The successful candidate will take a client-facing leadership role, overseeing cost
management and guiding a small project team. This is a rare opportunity to work at the top tier of

Responsibilities
• Deliver full cost management services for a €multi-million, 90MW hyperscale data centre
development.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client, representing the consultancy’s interests on-
site.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3+ junior quantity surveyors.
• Oversee budgeting, cost planning, procurement support, and contract administration.
• Coordinate on-site meetings and ensure alignment with client requirements and deadlines.
• Produce timely, accurate reports and financial updates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide advice during the tendering process and support contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international construction standards.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (Chartered status preferred,
ideally RICS).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cost consultancy or client-side QS roles.
• Proven experience on data centre or similar mission-critical projects.
• Confident in leading project teams and operating independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional communication style.
• Familiarity with managing client expectations and working under pressure.
