GemPool is currently recruiting for a Lead Software Engineer for a client located in Dublin City Centre.
Our client is Europe’s number one provider of Aesthetic Treatments and one of Europe's biggest fertility clinics. They have demonstrated huge growth in the past 9 months and have ambitions to take the global markets by storm. They are building software to scale and are aggressively targeting the American and Asian markets with a franchise model to build and sell software.
The ideal candidate will be working in a high-performing engineering team that enjoys solving challenging problems. They want someone who enjoys owning code from end to end. Each of their engineering teams will manage single or multiple domains. This is a great next step in your IT career.
Technical Skills:
Experience with multiple programming languages (Kotlin, Java, Python, Scala, etc)
Proficient at working in a CI/CD environment
NoSQL database exposure
Experience working with Cloud Platforms (AWS or Azure or GCP)
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with JVM-based technologies.
Experience with eCommerce is a big advantage.
Exposure to Microservices and Distributed systems
Experience with Kafka and Kubernetes
Skills:
5+ years experience working in a role using Java or similar Object-oriented language.
Past experience using a NoSQL database (MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j, Cassandra, etc.)
Knowledge of Web services (REST, SOAP)
Experience working in an iterative agile development environment.
Significant previous experience developing server-side solutions at a significant scale.
Other Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communications
Hands-on work ethic – take responsibility, show initiative, get things done.
